Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about file privacy, processing modes, formats, and device support.

No. All code comparison, LCS matrix calculations, and visual diff renderings occur 100% inside your browser's local sandbox. No source code, proprietary algorithms, or credentials ever leave your machine.
Side-by-Side (Split) View displays the original and modified files in dual aligned columns with synchronized scrolling, ideal for visual reviews. Unified (Inline) View combines both versions into a single sequential timeline with '+' and '-' markers, standard in Git patches and pull requests.
Both the code editor panes and the side-by-side diff viewers link vertical and horizontal scroll positions in real time so matching code lines remain perfectly aligned side-by-side as you navigate.
Yes. The 'Copy Diff Report' and 'Export Patch' features generate standard unified diff output with unified hunk headers (e.g. @@ -1,10 +1,12 @@) compatible with standard tools like `git apply` and `patch`.
The comparison engine supports any text or code format, including TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, JSON, SQL, C++, Rust, Go, YAML, Markdown, and plain text configuration files.
