Quick answers about file privacy, processing modes, formats, and device support.

PDF documents can act as self-contained digital envelopes by storing arbitrary file binaries inside the document's /EmbeddedFiles name tree in the catalog dictionary. Viewers like Adobe Acrobat, Foxit, and Apple Preview display these files under the paperclip attachments pane.
Factur-X and ZUGFeRD are standard European hybrid e-invoicing formats (conforming to ISO 19005-3 / PDF/A-3) that combine human-readable PDF visuals with a machine-readable XML invoice file (factur-x.xml) embedded inside. This tool allows accountants and developers to easily extract embedded invoice XMLs or embed them into PDFs.
You can attach any digital file format, including XML e-invoices, CSV spreadsheets, JSON payloads, images, source code, CAD drawings, or supplementary PDF contracts.
When extracting embedded files, Elixuvo bundles all extracted binaries into a single clean ZIP archive and automatically generates an attachments-manifest.json file listing the names, descriptions, file sizes, and timestamps of all embedded assets.
No. All inspection, stream extraction, and PDF catalog injection occur strictly in-memory (RAM) inside ephemeral execution containers. No files or attachments are ever written to permanent disks or databases.
