PDF to CSV

Detect structured tables in a PDF and download them as UTF-8 CSV. Multiple tables download as a ZIP. Scanned or text-only PDFs without detectable tables are reported honestly — rows are never invented. Processing runs on the Elixuvo API — files are not stored permanently.

How to use this tool

  1. Drag a PDF into the panel or browse for one (max 25 MB and 1000 pages).

  2. Wait for table inspection. If tables are found, pick one table or All tables.

  3. Click Convert to CSV. Download the .csv file, or a ZIP when multiple tables are exported.

  4. Choose Convert another PDF to start over.

  5. For a plain-text copy use PDF to TXT, or turn a spreadsheet back into a PDF with Excel to PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about file privacy, processing modes, formats, and device support.

No. This tool detects structured tables with PyMuPDF table finding. Ordinary paragraphs, irregular layouts, and many scanned documents do not produce reliable rows and columns. When nothing is detected, you get a clear message instead of fabricated cells.
Image-only scans are not turned into tables with OCR here. If no interactive table geometry is found, the tool reports that no tables were detected. Use a text-based PDF that already contains a structured table when possible.
After inspection you can export one table as a single CSV, or choose All tables to download a ZIP with one CSV per table (table-01, table-02, …).
Yes. Output is UTF-8 CSV with standard escaping for commas, quotes, and newlines, plus a UTF-8 BOM so spreadsheet apps recognize the encoding.
No. Unlock the PDF first. Empty, damaged, and non-PDF files are also rejected.
No. The PDF is held in memory for the inspect and convert requests and discarded afterward. Nothing is written to durable storage.
