Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about file privacy, processing modes, formats, and device support.

No. All SQL parsing, tokenization, clause alignment, and formatting occur 100% locally inside your browser's execution sandbox. No database schemas, sensitive table names, or queries are ever transmitted over the network or stored in logs.
The formatter supports Standard SQL (ANSI-92/99), PostgreSQL (including JSON operators and RETURNING), MySQL / MariaDB (backtick identifiers), SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL with TOP clauses), and Oracle PL/SQL.
Keyword Casing automatically detects SQL keywords (such as SELECT, FROM, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, HAVING, ORDER BY) and transforms them to standard UPPERCASE or lowercase while leaving your custom table names, column identifiers, and string literals untouched.
Yes. Both single-line comments (-- or #), multi-line block comments (/* ... */), and quoted string literals ('text' or "identifier") are preserved exactly as written without altering their contents or line breaks.
Yes. The engine properly nests Common Table Expressions (WITH clauses), subqueries enclosed in parentheses, multi-table JOINs, CASE/WHEN conditional statements, and window functions (OVER / PARTITION BY).
Yes. Multiple statements separated by semicolons (;) are automatically formatted sequentially with clean block separation, making it ideal for formatting complete migration scripts or database seed files.
