How to use this tool

  1. Upload any image (JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG) by dragging and dropping it into the workspace, browsing from your device, or pasting directly from clipboard (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V).

  2. Select a composition grid overlay: Rule of Thirds, Golden Ratio (Phi Grid), Fibonacci Spiral, Golden Triangles, Harmonic Armature (Diagonals), Center Crosshairs, or Square Pixel Grid.

  3. Choose your grid line color from high-contrast presets (White, Black, Neon Cyan, Amber Gold, Crimson Red, Lime Green) or select a custom hex hue.

  4. Adjust line opacity (10% to 100%), stroke width (1px to 6px), and stroke pattern (Solid, Dashed, or Dotted).

  5. Configure overlay-specific parameters, such as spiral quadrant orientation, intersection power point markers, concentric bullseye rings, or square grid cell density.

  6. Toggle between non-destructive Guide Mode (interactive alignment inspection) and Burn-In Mode (permanently embedding the grid lines into your exported image).

  7. Inspect the interactive canvas preview using zoom controls (Fit to View, 100% 1:1, or custom zoom levels).

  8. Export your final image at full native source resolution in lossless PNG or high-quality JPEG format, or copy directly to your clipboard.

Guide Mode provides a non-destructive visual overlay over your image inside the browser canvas for compositional analysis, horizon leveling, and subject alignment without modifying your image file. Burn-In Mode permanently rasterizes the grid vector paths into the image bitmap pixels, making it ideal for photography tutorials, architecture critique proofs, framing references, and social media composition breakdowns.
The Rule of Thirds divides the frame into nine equal rectangles with lines placed at 33.3% and 66.7% horizontally and vertically. The Golden Ratio (Phi Grid) is derived from the mathematical constant phi (1.618), placing lines closer to the center at 38.2% and 61.8%. The Golden Ratio often yields a more subtle, natural, and organic balance for classical portraits and landscape horizons.
The Harmonic Armature is a classical compositional framework used by Renaissance masters and modern cinematographers. It connects corners to corners (main diagonals), midpoints, and reciprocal angles, creating a comprehensive geometric lattice of 14 key axes that draw the viewer's eye across dynamic tension lines.
Golden Triangles are formed by drawing a diagonal across the frame from one corner to the opposing corner, with perpendicular lines extending from the remaining two corners to meet the diagonal at exact 90-degree right angles. This creates dynamic triangular zones ideal for action photography, leading lines, and diagonal movement.
Yes! You can rotate and flip the Fibonacci Spiral to align its logarithmic focal eye with any of the four quadrants: Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left, or Bottom-Right, allowing you to match your subject's natural gaze or focal point.
No. All canvas computations and vector path renderings are performed using high-precision 64-bit geometry scaled to your source image's exact 100% native pixel dimensions, ensuring pristine sharpness without compression loss.
Never. 100% of the vector calculation, grid rendering, and image encoding runs in your local browser memory using the HTML5 Canvas 2D API. Your photos never leave your device.
