How to use this tool

  1. Upload your image (JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG) or paste directly from your clipboard using Ctrl+V / Cmd+V.

  2. Position the horizontal focus band by dragging directly on the canvas preview to frame your sharp subject.

  3. Adjust the Focus Band Width slider (5% to 60%) to control the thickness of the in-focus clear strip.

  4. Fine-tune the Feather Falloff slider (5% to 50%) to create a smooth, natural transition into the out-of-focus background.

  5. Increase Blur Intensity (2px to 40px) to simulate heavy optical bokeh and shallow depth-of-field.

  6. Boost Saturation (0% to 100%) and Contrast (0% to 50%) to achieve the vivid, glossy look of plastic toy models.

  7. Download your miniature tilt-shift photo at full native resolution as a PNG or JPEG.

The tool separates your image into sharp and blurred spatial frequency layers using an HTML5 Canvas. A smooth vertical alpha mask isolates the chosen focus band, seamlessly blending sharp foreground details into progressive Gaussian bokeh while boosting color saturation in device memory.
When humans look at real miniature models or tabletop dioramas with macro lenses, the depth-of-field is extremely narrow—only a tiny slice is in focus while the top and bottom blur out. Replicating this optical blur on an elevated real-world photo tricks the human brain into interpreting skyscrapers, cars, and pedestrians as tiny scale models.
Photos taken from an elevated vantage point looking down at an angle (such as rooftop views, bridges, drone captures, balcony shots, construction sites, and train yards) produce the most convincing miniature illusion.
Yes. You can drag the interactive focus guideline directly on the canvas preview or use the Focus Center Y slider to place the clear strip exactly over your subject.
Yes. The Feather Falloff slider allows you to dial in an ultra-smooth, progressive lens transition so there are no abrupt or harsh blur boundaries.
Never. All canvas operations, spatial filters, and color enhancements execute 100% client-side inside your browser tab without any network transfer.
