Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about file privacy, processing modes, formats, and device support.

The tool applies FFmpeg's Lanczos scaling algorithm inside an in-browser WebAssembly sandbox. Lanczos resampling uses high-order sinc interpolation to preserve edge contrast and text clarity during downscaling or upscaling.
Standard H.264 video compression uses the YUV420p chroma subsampling format, which groups color data in 2x2 pixel blocks. Dimensions must be even numbers to prevent encoder errors and green-line rendering artifacts.
Never. Video resizing is executed 100% locally on your computer inside your browser's WebAssembly sandbox. Your files are never transmitted across the network or stored on any server.
No. Our engine uses stream copy mode (-c:a copy) to preserve the original audio stream bit-for-bit without any re-encoding whenever container compatibility allows.
