The tool generates hardware-accelerated radial falloff gradients directly on an HTML5 Canvas inside your browser's local memory. No images or edits are ever uploaded to any external server.
Classic Shadow simulates optical camera lens light falloff (optical vignetting), darkening the outer borders to draw viewer focus to the center subject. Soft Glow applies an ethereal white high-key halo around the edges, popular in bridal, portrait, and dreamlike vintage photography.
Simply click directly onto your subject in the preview canvas or use the Focal Center X and Y controls. The radial falloff will dynamically center around your chosen subject rather than the geometric center of the frame.
At 0%, the vignette matches the aspect ratio of your photo, producing an elliptical falloff. As you increase roundness toward 100%, the shading becomes a true 1:1 circular aperture vignette, simulating vintage medium-format and circular lens barrels.
Zero reduction. When you click Download, the shading geometry is scaled to your original image's native pixel resolution (naturalWidth × naturalHeight) with lossless color fidelity.
