Image Water Reflection & Ripple Generator

Create realistic liquid water reflections and sine-wave ripple effects with customizable wave frequency, amplitude, and shoreline horizon gap. 100% in-browser processing.

Live

How to use this tool

  1. Upload your image (JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG) or paste directly from your clipboard using Ctrl+V / Cmd+V.

  2. Adjust the Ripple Amplitude slider (0px to 30px) to control the intensity of horizontal wave displacements.

  3. Fine-tune the Ripple Frequency slider (1 to 40) to customize water surface wave density and ripple cadence.

  4. Set the Horizon Gap slider (0px to 25px) to define the waterline boundary separation between image and reflection.

  5. Adjust the Reflection Height slider (20% to 100%) and Bottom Fade to simulate realistic aquatic light falloff.

  6. Select an ambient Water Tint (Deep Ocean Blue, Lagoon Cyan, Sunset Amber, Emerald Lake, or Pure Natural) and tune tint opacity.

  7. Preview the reflection with optional live ripple animation, then download your high-resolution composite.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about file privacy, processing modes, formats, and device support.

The tool creates a vertical mirror of the source image on an HTML5 Canvas, then applies a row-by-row sine-wave displacement mapping algorithm to displace pixels horizontally across the reflection zone. Vertical perspective scaling and alpha attenuation are applied directly in browser RAM without server communication.
Yes! The Reflection Height slider allows you to choose between a compact 20% water shoreline or a full 100% mirrored lake surface.
The Horizon Gap adds a subtle, realistic waterline buffer between the bottom of your original photo and the start of the water surface, simulating a natural shoreline or embankment.
Yes. The ripple engine automatically modulates wave frequency and amplitude across the vertical axis, compressing ripples closer together near the distant horizon and expanding them wider as they approach the foreground camera plane.
Absolutely. You can select from realistic water color presets such as Deep Ocean Blue, Tropical Cyan, Sunset Amber Gold, Emerald Lake, or Midnight Slate, and blend them into the reflection with custom opacity.
Never. All pixel transformations and sine-wave calculations occur 100% locally in your device's browser memory, guaranteeing total privacy and zero data transfer.
